The sport of extreme pogo is rising steadily in popularity but still a rather small sport. It attracts a loyal crowd and due to the extreme nature it has its share of injuries and “fail” stunt videos across the web.
From time to time you can expect us to report on pogo related news and events. Hey, we are the company blending pogo bouncing and philanthropy so just be forewarned about future content 🙂
What we found interesting today was randomly coming across this article on the UK site, The Sun. It forecasts the “extreme pogo craze…set to sweep the UK this [2009] summer” and covers the story of an 18-year old extreme pogoer named Mark Aldridge. Already a 9-year veteran of the sport he’s doing tricks with his pogo stick of choice: the Flybar.
Be sure to note The Sun article mentions where Mark is from: Crowthorne, Berks.
The interesting part came later when we found pictures of pogo stick injuries in the Xpogo image gallery. See this screen capture and read the patient address blurb, above-left of the itemized bill section.

Well what do ya know, there he is again; our dear friend Mark Aldridge from Crowthorne Berkshire. Here he’s showcasing his jaw-dropping hospital bill due to pogo injuries sustained at the last Pogopalooza.
Hey go big or go home, right?
