Pogopalooza 10 – New York, New York

Late spring/early summer is the best time of year. It’s the culmination of playoff hockey followed by the largest pogo event of the year: Pogopalooza

This year, Xpogo is looking to go big in the biggest city of America. The masterminds behind this 10th iteration have decided to feature the sport on the biggest stage, New York City itself. Take a look at the Xpogo Pro Team.

Pogopalooza will span over three days, July 26th through July 28th of 2013. But, unlike previous years, the location of the events will vary depending on the day. Pogopalooza 10 kicks off with citywide exhibitions as well as a world record attempt for most consecutive bounces on a pogo stick by BTACs own James Roumeliotis. All proceeds will go directly to The Scleroderma Research Foundation to fund research.

Folks can then gather around Tompkins Square Park on Saturday, the 27th, to witness the qualifying rounds of stunt pogo and additional world record attempts. Last year’s records involved; the highest backflip, the most no-footed bounces, and the most bounces in a minute. The grand finale will be located at Union Square North Plaza where qualifying athletes will pour their hearts into competing for the gold medal in Big Air, Best Trick, and the always frightful High Jump.

This awe-inspiring event will most certainly turn heads. So join Bounce to a Cure, The Scleroderma Research Foundation, Xpogo, Flybar, and other great vendors at the extreme pogo world championship, that is Pogopalooza.
